Unhappy [1.1.3OTB] Anybody else getting a error 1 or 1015 when trying to downgrade???

Anybody else getting error 1 or error 1015 on 1.1.3 OTB or on 1.1.3 updated through itunes??? Any idea on how to downgrade these suckers?? I keep getting error 1 or 1015 right when its about to downgrade.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed already but i couldn't find any solutions. I will appreciate any sort of help or a link for a solution if it exists already.

Error 1015 means the firmware installed, but you need to either get iBrickr or iPhuc and boot out of it.
    With iPhuc you type:
    • cmd setenv auto-boot true
    • cmd saveenv
    • cmd fsboot
and that will boot it out of recovery mode.

With Error 1, try using iTunes 7.5.

    Hope that helps.

i understand the 1015 error we get after the downgrade to 1.1.1 is done is normal but how about error 1 or 1015 before itunes even lets u downgrade to 1.1.1?? It extracts the 1.1.1 firmeware and just as its preparing the phone it gives you error 1 or 1015. I get error 1 most of the time.

    Angry Please explain

    HJK
Hi, could you please explain? What do you mean by "the phone is not in dfu mode"?

I'm at the end of my wits here. I had a perfectly working 1.1.2 (BL3.9 1.1.1 orig) anysimu unlocked phone and screwed it up with the 1.1.3 soft update. Long story. Anyway, I had to restore to 1.1.3. And now I cannot downgrade anymore.

I tried on Windows with iTunes 7.6 and on OS X with iTunes 7.5. Putting the phone in recovery mode via home/off buttons and command restore to any version other than 1.1.3 results in an unknown error (1).

I tried to use iPhuc 0.6.1 to copy the WTF file to the phone before the iTunes recovery. To avoid the segmentation fault in iphuc, I used the 7.4 MobileDevice.framework replacement script. The filecopytophone returns with code 0 and a following iTunes restore ends with error (1) again.

Any suggestions how I can downgrade my firmware back to 1.1.1 would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

DFU mode is not recovery mode, they are completely different.
