I think so m8
So hard to remember what version it worked with and the site is no longer running
Its a GUi Application so its pretty easy to use

now what is happening is .....
In DFU mode - i Tunes detects.. But the iphone-tools does not work.
In Recovery Mode - ITunes detects and as soon as i press the button to restore it disappears... iphone-toosl gives error searching for iPhone
In Normal Mode - iTunes itself does not detect the phone...Howevr, the charging symbol shows it to be getting charged.

from what I just read, it is just the eraser tools from iphone-tools1.1.4a wrapped up, but who knows it may just do the trick.
