    Hi,

I ve tried all the steps mentioned. Still no luck.

I setup the iPhone in DFU mode. It enters successfully. iTunes also detects it in DFU mode.

but then still the restore fails with error 2003. I tried a restore on my PC as well as another PC.

Also, i tried to stop and then start again the AppleMobileDevice Service.

    Nothing helped me so far.

Also, iLiberty recognises the iPhone in DFU mode but all options are greyed out.

Very MUCH appreciate the help u guys r giving me !!

take the phone to an apple store..tell them the power went out while you were restoreing the FW

that should git you someware...bc if DNF mode isent working for a restore..then you have a slight problome..

sorry buddy have no clue what to do?!
    u are doing this right

    1. put the phone into DFU mode and make sure iLiberty recognises it as DFU mode

    2. hold down shift and click on restore and select the 1.1.4 FW

    3. if it restores run iLiberty to jailbreak etc

mayb you could use iphonebrowser or ibrickr to play around with some files inside

infact iv heard ibrickr is a really good tool

    try ibrikr
MacBook Pro OS X SNOW Leopard
    iPhone 4 16GB iOS 4.2
    iPad WiFi 64GB iOS 4.2
    BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300)
