Default [1.1.3] ziphone openssh / terminal problem

    hi

i have an OTB 1.1.2 which was unlocked with geohot's gunlock. during the jailbreak i had openssh installed and the icon was also there on spring board.

i used terminal to gunlock it.

however when i updated via itunes to 1.1.3 & then later unlocked with ziphone......i lost the openssh icon in springboard.

    i reinstalled it from installer.

    now my problem is:
when i open terminal in iphone........it asks for password........and dottie or apline dont work here.

but if i use winscp to connect i can connect via ssh.......and the user ID and pass i use is root and alpine

can someone guide me how do i use the term window in iphone......as its not allowing me any commands ......its stuck on password

Check installer for a Terminal SUID Fix, that will fix it and you enter alpine as password when prompted for one.

    TERM-VT100 password error
After doing a 1.1.3 JB you may find it impossible to use terminal on your iPod. The solution is simple. Go to installer and add the source www.trejan.com/irepo then find SUID Lib Fix and install that, then find Term-vt100 SUID Fix and install that. After restarting your iPod, terminal will work fine with the password "alpine".

    @MobileSuperDude,
    just for reference:

    This is what I used:

    Install terminal vt-100 svn198
Install BSD Subsystem 2.0 Termfix v 1.10 (Big Boss)
(fix BSD subsystem 2.1 issue with terms where backspace just acts like spacebar).

    SUID Lib Fix:

    mkdir -p /usr/local/arm-apple-darwin/lib
    ln -sf /usr/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib /usr/local/arm-apple-darwin/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib

    Term-vt100 SUID fix:

    chmod +s /Applications/Term-vt100.app/Term-vt100
