[1.1.3][ZiPhone] Best method to virginize 1.1.1 OTB
So I know the recommendations against ZiPhone now, but at the time it worked well and was the best method to upgrade to 1.13.
I am having some hardware issues and I am going to attempt to make good on the warranty (which Apple specifically says does not require an ATT number). I have been using the phone unlocked since October on Tmobile in the US. The bottom row of my touch screen is inoperative. I have used a workaround to increase the touch sensitivity but that is just a workaround for now.
My question is this: what is the best/most-complete way to re-virginize my phone such that Apple won't detect its been altered. I have it jailbreaked/unlocked/activated, but as it is the old bootloader I believe the bootloader is still stock. I know I can undo the jailbreak by just DFU restoring, but will that erase all evidence?
I have searched the forum and I cannot find a post that specifically related to my case.
Finally one more related question: should I decided to upgrade to 2.0 once unlocking mechanisms become available, what is the best method to undo the work ZiPhone has done so as to facilitate a smooth upgrade?
Thanks for any advice.
if your iphone was 1.1.1 otb that means you have BL 3.9 so you have no problems with that.
since you are on 1.1.3 all you have to do is DFU and restore to 1.1.4 that will reflash your baseband to 04.04.05_G leaving you with a perfect jailed, un-activated and locked iphone that you can take to the apple store with no problems.
