[1.1.3] Ziphone 2.4 forces bootloader downgrade when unlocking?
I have been hearing reports on other forums, that ziphone 2.4 will force a downgrade to 3.9 bootloader when you choose to unlock an iphone, even if you don't choose to downgrade the bootloader.
There is no hard evidence that I can find, just lots of hearsay that ziphone 2.4 is doing this automatically now, when previous versions didn't.
Is this true?

Yes its true! I updated to 1.1.3 in itunes and used command ziphone -Z Y (it was said that it will only jailbreak, activate and unlock) and it downgraded bootloader to 3.9!

My 1.1.2 too, i use the -Z Y command and downgrade to 3.9 but working very well.

Whic sequence would he have to use for Ziphone 2.4 then
Would ziphone -a -j -u .. downgrade bootloader too or just the required you told it to?

Full usage summary:
ziphone -j = Jailbreak
ziphone -a = Activate
ziphone -u = Unlock (Works on both BL3.9 and BL4.6)
ziphone -e = Erase Baseband (BL 3.9 only)
ziphone -b = Downgrade Bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9, update baseband to 4.03.13 and patch the unlock.
ziphone -D: Enter DFU Mode.
ziphone -R: Enter Recovery Mode.
ziphone -N: Exit Recovery Mode (normal boot).
ziphone -C: Make coffee (checks MD5 sums on included DAT files)
Use -a -j -u to activate, jailbreak and unlock.

Zibri,
Can you double check your parsing of the command line options in 2.4? From looking at ziphone.cpp, it seems you enable unlocking and bootloader downgrading when "-Z N" or "-Z Y" is used.

Yes, it is correct.
ziphone -a -j -u : activates/jailbreaks/unlocks WITHOUT downgrading bootloader
ziphone -a -j -u -b : activates/jailbreaks/unlocks AND downgrades bootloader
ziphone -Z Y : activates/jailbreaks/unlocks AND downgrades bootloader(despite no documentation on this)
ziphone -Z N : some reports say this does in fact unlock the phone when it shouldn't?
So stay away from the -Z parameters...
On a side note i think zibri is pure lying when he says that any iphone can be entirely restored and refurbished after any action made by ziphone....thats not possible since a bootloader downgrade reverse(bootloader upgrade) is currently not possible, at least not in a simple way.
I personally used ziphone 2.2 with -a -j -u on a bl3.9 1.1.3 (1.0.2 OTB) phone and works perfectly.
I would advice against downgrading the bootloader. Is not worth it. Google locate me feature can be used with the navizon/locate me thirdparty trick.
