Would iTunes give an error or what exactly would have happened? I bought a 1.1.2 OTB and first thing I did was to downgrade to 1.1.1, as per instructions. So the same trick WOULD NOT work for 1.1.3 upgraded (or 1.1.3 OTB for that matter)???

its not tha tyou can't downgrade, its that since you upgraded so did your modem firmware and that can not be downgraded. and will not work on any firmware below it. u can downgrade ur 1.1.3, you can rejailbreak it if i read correctly already. but it will not make calls because of the modem firmware upgrade that went with it.

I don't quite understand this. It should all depend on which bootloader your phone has on it. Since the 1.1.3 update doesn't change the bootloader, if an OTB 1.1.1 is upgraded to 1.1.3 (by mistake), you should be able to downgrade both the firmware as well as the baseband? Isn't it?

if you have a otb-1.1.1 (bootloader 3.9) you *should* be able to downgrade the baseband WHEN the 1.1.3-secpack becomes avaible (it is not avaible at this moment, but should soon be avaible). But someone must confirm this first, I would not advise anyone to upgrade to 1.1.3 yet.

How do you disable the update function for Itunes and the Iphone? Does that [prevent you adding music or video etc?

Next time you connect your iphone to itunes it will tell you there is a update available... check the box to not remind you again and cancel the update...
