Hi everyone, I have a problem with my signal, its very weak all the time. The iphone manages to have 3-4 bars at most when planced vertical in its base connected with the pc. All this after the h/w unlock process. I was wondering what to do. I have in mind to restore back to 1.1.1 and begin from the start but I dont know if there is going to be any problem with the baseband or something else which I was wondering you could tell me. Also I would like to give me some suggestions about this problem and its repair.

i have exactly the same problem.
1.1.1 oktoprep --> 1.1.2 --> anySim1.2.1u --> softupgrade 1.1.3.

The signal is very weak with all gsm operators.

I downgraded baseband to 1.0.2 and ugraded again to 1.1.2 and unlocked it again.
Same bad signal?!?!
I've got two iphones on my table. One with full signal the other with 1 bar.

How could that happen?
The phone just worked fine before usind the 1.1.3 devteam jailbreak.

I have found a solution for my problem. Maybe it helps other people on the forum.
Well "found" ... it works, but I don't know exactly why and how.

PROBLEM:
Always after running anySIM1.2.1u on 1.1.2 or 1.1.1 -> 1.1.2 I had very weak signal and signal loss for NO REASON.
Even using anySIM 1.1 under 1.1.1 baseband brought me to the same state.

I restored many times. Virginized. Several times to 1.1.3 baseband, then downgrade to 1.1.1 etc etc. tried it for about 20 times.

Other Iphones on the same table had perfect signal. So this was somehow related to the unlocked baseband with anySIM1.2.1u. Guess there is a problem with the power management of the RX/TX unit on the phone like another poster mentioned.

SOLUTION:
I was just to give up, when I played around with the settings of the phone.
On a 1.1.3 jailbreaked with 1.1.2 baseband unlocked via anysim1.2.1u.

Setting -> Phone ->

I pushed all options without thinking.
After a few seconds (still sticking in the same menu trying to set up Call forwarding or Call Waiting or TTY) the signal came from 1 bar to 5 bars (like it should be)

I tried 2 different providers and the signal is still good !!! And I am happy
Switching the phone off and on doesn't break the signal.

Thats really really strange... but at least it helped. Please report your results.

Only apps installed on the phone where BSD Sub, Community Resources and the YOU TUBE activation fix from source: i.unlock.no ...
So just in case this could be related to the problem, just install the fix.

What do you mean by pushing all options??

pushing all options:

Under settings-> phone ->
Try to swithc TTY on/off, show caller ID on/off etc.

This was fixing the low signal.
