Default [1.1.3] So basically Nate's solution > Dev team's (at last for me)

I did the soft update/ 1.1.3 jailbreak and so far no problems. Locate me feature works, wi-fi, edge, iTunes, ringtones all work too. And I think the process was very simple cuz iBrickr did all the job. I mean you click 1 or 2 times on a button and you don't need to SSH into the phone. Note that I started on an anysim 1.1.2 unlocked.

Btw, Locate me worked after I installed the new BSD subsystem weird eh?

I think that this whole Nate "illegal" release is BS. The Dev team was going to wait until the SDK but nate did a release. So I think the Dev team was just jealous and wanted all the credit. Both method do the same thing and work well with 1.1.2 except Nate's is simplier and locate me works.

I have everything working with the dev team jailbreak.
All I have to do is move all the files to the root, then ssh and type one command.
    Everything is done.
Unlike the Nate's jb you need to install like 4-5 files in installer to make everything work.. like the soft-update, cleaner, fixes, etc.

Only problem is the contact sync which is being fixed now.
Google maps locator works as well after I installed LocateMe. But I heard this isnt the true function, unless you upgraded your baseband.

Oh, and one more *important* thing, devteam jb doesnt break Nikita (Apple's new software installer for the SDK), which Nate's will break.

Yea since the SDK is out and they know exactly how it works. BS until proven. Either way a simple downgrade will fix it.

Can't understand how ppl can say that Nates solution is easier. How the hell is it hard to copy a couple of files and issuing one command? Can't get much easier than that, and if you're on a fast internet connection like me, it won't take long either.

All I did was run IBrickr and click. How hard is that? I didn't have to install anything but the soft update and that was done through installer thats 1 file, not 5. And btw I heard locate me is not precise at all. Your talking about how many fixes you have to install with Nate's solution when you have to fix Google maps and contact sync lol.

@EMH yes, you are totally right! the dev team are full of bs, their jailbreak solution is a piece of crap, and of course nate's version doesn't break nikita, that's just their way of saying "hey look at us", nate's version is easier but that's not the point, the point is who's version works, and that's nate version, for every bug that you encounter in nate's version you have a fix, but as for the dev team's jail break you have nothing, just restore and use nate's jb

I don't like the way this is heading...

This shouldn't be a Nate versus the Dev Team argument. And if it is, we shouldn't be pouring oil on the flames, by taking sides in these divisions...

Nate's a smart guy and probably more knowledgeable than most people on this forum put together. Ditto, for the Dev Team. Do your research and use whichever solution you feel more comfortable with. Informed and constructive debate is always good, but petty bickering is a waste of space. Up to you folks...

I've gotta say, I've just seen the latest DevTeam tutorial on iClarified, and it looks so easy, even a dumbass like me might get it working!... Now here's to these guys working together to help us with stuff like error 1011, missing IMEI, SW unlocks for 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4....... 6.3.8... and many many more...

as for me, nate's work fine on my phone, so i'm not going to use the dev's teams solution. why change what is already working?

as for who is better, i don't think that's the issue here. just be happy we have choices to pick from and there even is a jb.
