    Default [1.1.3] - Post Ziphone -a -j Still @ Emergency Call Screen

    As the subject states:

    - I have an OTB 1.1.3 16GB Apple iPhone

    - Phone was put into 'Recovery Mode'

    - Ran Ziphone ('Start > Run > cmd' then ziphone -a -j)

    - Could visually see the script run through the iPhone

    - iPhone restarted

    - Back at the 'Emergency Call' screen

    What have I done wrong?

First try to reboot the phone.
Then try to run ZI again.... if you are using an older version of ZI, you must use -v.
If that fails, restore to 1.1.3 and try ZI again.
BTW, I'm still using ZI 2.0... stable, and works everytime when you use -v.

When I first ran ZiPhone, it failed to activate twice. I then realized I had left my T-mobile SIM card in the phone. I put the original AT&T SIM card in, re-ran ziphone -j -a, and it worked.

So, it either just took 3 tries, or it's a requirement that you have your iPhone's original AT&T SIM installed.

    Good luck!

    I'm really stuck guys

    * I've tried activating a second and third time

    * I've tried rebooting then activating once more

    * I've placed the phone in DFU mode, restored to 1.1.3 and tried again

    * I've used version 2.2 and 2.4 both don't work

Any other suggestions? I can't understand what I could be doing wrong???

    Why don't you try -a -j -u?

I had the same problem when i used iTunes 7.6. I then used iTunes 7.5 and everything worked fine. Not sure if this helps.

What errors or text can you read on the iPhone screen?

I would try with iTunes 7.5 and ZI2.0 after a fresh restore. I leave the ATT SIM inside while running ZI. I do not kill iTunes.

And ditch the GUI for a proper CLI... use options -v -j -a -u if you are using 2.0.

    Worked it out

Even though I was completely exiting iTune's (and making sure the processes had ended via the Task Manager) before starting Ziphone it wasn't enough.

I needed to ensure I "EJECTED" the iPhone from iTune's, close iTunes, then start the Ziphone process.

    Cheers Everyone!!
