Default [1.1.3 OTB] ZiPhoned except NOT UNLOCKED!

I decided to unlock my 1.1.3 16GB iPhone on an OFFICIAL O2 tariff using ZiPhone.

The baseband was successfully downloaded (according to Independence which I checked against) but when I put a Vodaphone SIM in the phone did not get a signal!

tried a settings reset and then got the activation screen - so I used Independence to activate it for ALL SIM cards and still no signal on Vodaphone.

And I can't connect to youtube! when I deactivated using Independence the phone automatically reactivates as its got a real O2 iPhone SIM in it so I am getting conflicts between the factory activation and O2 activation I am sure.

Not wanting to mess with my settings anymore I just did a restore.

But whats going on with the unlock? has it even downgraded the bootloader and not unlocked the phone for anyone? or is the lack of signal down to activation? Should I put an unofficial SIM in and then activate it? also will the unlock (assuming it worked) now be gone as I restored the phone? Thanks.

    Default

I wanted to add I clicked on unlock in the advanced preferences as I didn't want to downgrade the bootloader!

But it downgraded it for me anyway WITHOUT it seems unlocking the phone!

I then tried using the 1.1.4 unlock from iclarified on installer but I got a script execution error when I tried it - luckily my connectivity was not effected in any way!

I looked at the bootloader on the phone using the hardware info baseband checker on installer and that shows my bootloader at 4.6 still!

Why is Independence showing it as 3.9 when the phone says its 4.6? though that would explain the script error with the 1.1.4 unlock! but then that means ZiPhone actually did NOTHING!
