    Question [1.1.3 OTB] T-Zones won't stick, loses wifi

    I have tried several different methods to get the T-Zones hack work one my 1.1.3 otb unlocked with ZiPhone 2.4. I've done Big Boss's fix, a few others, and the only success I had was creating my own proxy.pac, and editing my preferences.plist.

    For some unknown reason I keep loosing my wifi during the process. I've seen that other people have experienced this except I haven't seen a good fix without restoring from itunes.

    As far T-Zones itself I have tried Big Boss's pref's fix except that seems to make me lose my wifi as well. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

    EDIT: I just installed the 1.1.3 Preferences fix and now the wifi is not working and the APN won't stay. I think whats happening is the application is not allowing reset to overwrite it.

    Try using the tzone hack from surrrealnetworks. It is working for me. Here is the source
    iphone.surrealnetworks.com/repo

    I tried that one again and after moving the preferences.plist to the right directory I was able to get an ip address through t-zones.

    The bad thing was it knocked off my wifi, I had to do a reset to get it back. So I'm still at square one.

    as i noted in another thread your on, you need to place the proxy.pac in the correct directory, then edit your preferences.plist in the correct section. the section you need to edit for it to reference the proxy.pac is located under section " IP1"

    i couldn't get mine to work either. I used the one from surrealnetwork. it was upgraded from 1.1.1. my question is tho, do i need to sign up for t-zone in order to use it? I know t-mobile used to charge their customers each KB if they don't have the t-zone plan. but i want to try it before i sign up for the plan

    no need to restore. just create the proxy.pac in the correct directory w/ this info ( for tmobile ). be sure to save it as a .pac extension though!

    {
    if (isInNet(myIpAddress(), "10.0.0.0", "255.0.0.0"))
    return "PROXY 216.155.165.50:8080";
    else
    return "DIRECT";
    }

    then search in the preferences.plist for ip1 and then edit / enter in what i have in red font, between the black font:

    <string>ip1</string>
    <key>Hardware</key>
    <string>com.apple.CommCenter</string>
    <key>Type</key>
    <string>com.apple.CommCenter</string>
    </dict>
    <key>Proxies</key>
    <dict>
    <key>ProxyAutoConfigEnable</key>
    <integer>1</integer>
    <key>ProxyAutoConfigURLString</key>
    <string>file:///private/var/root/proxy.pac</string>
    </dict>

    <key>com.apple.CommCenter</key>

    good luck

    yes you need to be signed up for tzones 1st i'm pretty sure. the port is blocked until you do, so you cannot test it out.
