[1.1.3 OTB] Jailbreak: is it possible at the moment?
I've been searching and reading through this forum, but haven't found straight answer: is it possible to jailbreak 1.1.3 OOB at the moment and use it as ipod touch/wifi device? All I could find is how to upgrade to 1.1.3 and then jailbreak.

no not yet...u have to wait for the full jailbreak not the soft update (which is what people are posting about now).....
-
-
Could that happen anytime soon? Or is it connected with sim unlock?
-
supposedly they had the full jailbreak a day or two after the 1.1.3 was released.
they are keeping it secret so that when the next firmware with the SDK is released the loophole they found still exists (hopefully) and they can jailbreak two at once.
rumors have them releasing it late feb.
hope that helps

This site is claiming that they can unlock 1.1.3 otb.
"Our Unlock Guide works with Firmware versions: V1.1.1 / V1.1.2 / V1.1.3 - whether they are fresh out of the box, or jailbroken already. This is a software only unlock - no need to crack open your iPhone."
"Will it work with the V1.1.3 Update..?
Yes, our Unlock Guide works with V1.1.1 / 1.1.2 / 1.1.3 Firmware, whether your iPhone is fresh out of the box, or has already been jailbroken."
You think it's true?
My experience is that this company use deceptive ad to get people to buy the unlock guide which is available here. And should be put in scam list.
I bought an guide from this company which advertised they can unlock 1.1.2 otb about 1 month ago. But the guide provided as us to downgrade to 1.0.2. However, I have the 4.6 and 1.1.2 otb. So obviously it can't unlock and only jailbreak. Now he is asking me to pay for a new guide that will unlock V1.1.3 (see quote above" I am pretty sure if I bought this guide for use with V1.1.3 otb I will be stuck as of today. Then, few month later if the true 1.1.3 otb unlock is out. He will ask you to pay again.
Basically he provided 2 statements above. then will tell you that you did not read it closely because the 2nd one says it's for V1.1.3 update from previous firmware.
It's deceptive ad that it draws people into buying and then you are stuck and force to pay more money later for a newer guide which may or may not work.
I asked for a refund and no response afterward. (I have email from this company if any one is interested to see, let me know.)
He wants me to pay for this guide and said that he won't show me how to jailbreak 1.1.2V otb 4.6BL because it's too much trouble for him. Then, why am I paying him for this? And should I pay more?
Watch out guys out there for this. At least as of today I have not seen the Dev Team released any 1.1.3 otb unlock yet. And this guy is claiming he can to get money?

Folks....
I thought this method should work with 1.1.3 OTB:
1. Downgrade to 1.1.1
2. iBrick to boot
3. i.unlock.no to jailbreak or Jailbreakme.com
4. Install BSD, SSH, Oktoprep
5. Update to 1.1.2
6. Jailbreak again using Java applet
7. Softupdate to 1.1.3
Am I wrong?

Haha. I replied with "Yes you are, silly" without realizing it's jailbroken now.
