[1.1.3 OTB] Downgrade?

So i read a few topics and by the sounds of it you can downgrade a 1.1.3 OTB iphone using the same method to downgrade 1.1.2 to 1.1.1. But other places i've read it's only for bootloader bla bla. I haven't got a clue what a bootloader is and what version they are in the shops.

So could someone confirm if i brought an iphone from the 02 shop (UK) or brought one off the apple site i would be able to downgrade it to 1.1.2 or 1.1.1? If so is it done the same way as 1.1.2 was downgraded to 1.1.1 (hold home and sleep button till bla bla then itunes will say its in DFU mode or something like that).

Really wanna buy one tomorrow but I'm worried i won't be able to downgrade it to jailbreak an earlier version.

Try searching a little bit more. All the answers you're looking for are already here. Also, read the sticky threads if you want a clue about what a bootloader is.

Theres just so many threads and pages to read through, i have tried looking about it's just so hard to find anything due to the fact this forum is so active. Also due to it being really active it's beginning to be really slow to load making it more time consuming.

I will carry on reading around, hopefully someone can reply here though.

If you buy newest version 1.1.3, you can do downgrade and jailbreak. In this moment thats only you can do. You will have expensive iTouch.

No, my friend...
Problem is in baseband, still not possible to downgrade. Maybe soon...
And maybe in next few weeks come up some new xsims.

So even if i downgrade it to 1.1.1 and jailbreak it i can't use an 02 sim in it? (im in uk so when i buy it'll come with an 02 contract sim).

Wait! I didnt know that you are on O2!? maybe you can do something.
But for that part you defenetely have to use search function.
