iPhone 1.1.2 OTB
Bought---> Jailbrocken---> Updated to 1.1.3---> Jailbrocken with 1.1.3-2 pack---> 1.1.4 ZiPhone 2.5 S/W unlocked
Does this new upgrader fix the issue with iPhones going to DFU/Restore mode every hard reboot?
I know it's fixable using iBrickr, but you have to do it everytime if it happens.
I updated my phone from a jailbroken 1.1.2 via Installer. I used the new version of the Dev team 1.1.3 update. It isntalled the update icon, and after running it, my phone said connect to iTunes. When I do this, i'm getting a message from iTunes telling me that my phone may be damaged, and needs to be returned to the Apple store.
I can't get the phone to boot via iBrickr/Independance/1.1.2 jailbreak methods, and I can't get the phone to restore, because iTunes recognises it as damaged.
By the way, this is the new version of the Dev team update. I've read other places that a few other people are having this problem, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to get a restore.
Also, this doesn't seem to put me in recovery mode (the holding down both, the letting go of the sleep button).
Can someone please help me out?
same problem here. But you can restore it and start over. Just connect it to itunes and press the home and power button. Let go of the power button when the screen goes black and keep holding the home button.
I've been holding back until the various 1.1.3 issues had been resolved and now that the new Summerboard has been released, I think it's time I did that upgrade
Just to confirm, are there any apps I need to install before running the official 1.1.3-2 upgrader such as SSH/BSD etc. or will the upgrader do everything for me - I just install sit back and wait?
Would you recommend uninstalling all the apps I currently have installed (around 45) before proceeding with the official dev 1.1.3 upgrader? I received the out of space error a while ago and did the SSH apps partition move trick a while ago so I don't know what effect if any that may have on the 1.1.3 upgrade.
Finally does the upgrader need iTunes to be running at all or just the phone connected to a power source and a wifi connection?
Everything works great with the new installer official upgrade!
You do not need Itunes to be running. Just go to www.hackthatphone.com and read the tutorials for the upgrade. There is also a fix for the disk space problem.
I have no issues with the reboot bug, no issues with wifi or edge. No issues at all
Well part of it is that it won't let me kick the phone into restore mode.
If you get the black screen... Just wait...
It may take up to 5 minutes for it to reboot...
