Is there a fix for this?

Maybe we can just put some sort of space-holder file that fills up the image? Or can you not add things to an image after they have been created?

If you can, I imagine you could just split the script up to where it is one script that downloads the image, then you can go in manually and "inflate" it, then a second script to finish the jailbreak.

Also, how is your space used up in the root partition so low? Did you transfer wallpapers, ringtones, and apps to your Media partition or something?
Is this happening to everybody? Has it not happened to any others? I've got a 1.1.3 DevTeam JBed phone, and it hasn't happened to me... Output of df shows the correct size (although block size is now 512 bytes when it used to be 1K) and BossTool for example shows 20MB free out of 300MB, and other partition is also the correct size @ 7440MB. Anyone have any ideas on why it would happen with some and not others?

Edit: Pfft, just realized I missed the -k switch on df. Usually don't need it, but oh well. My df output with DevTeam 1.1.3:

    # df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
    /dev/disk0s1 307200 285720 18408 94% /
    devfs 18 18 0 100% /dev
    /dev/disk0s2 7622368 2897640 4724728 38% /private/var

Edit #2: I did use the sendowski.de installer source, since I was too lazy to do the manual copy of files (as easy as it is already!). Any chance the script was edited after the tarball was released here? Those of you with the issue, where did you pull the JB from? It could be a different edit in different places. Dunno why that would be, but it could explain some of the differenc

Is there someone who knows how to fix this Wi-Fi problem???

I am desperate! I can't believe that I could so stupidly ruin a perfectly working 1.1.2 iPhone!

    Please, somebody, comment!
exact same thing happened to me friend, no worries, there is no permanent damage... i already was forced to restore to 1.1.1 and jb, then oktoprep up to 1.1.2 and jb once again tonight for this exact same issue, wifi is normal again afterwards.

just to be concise, i did not use the Installer version of the 1.1.3 upgrade, i did it via Terminal using the dev's package. i did install the same Edge-fix package from Sendowski though, and after reboot Wifi was borked.

on a side note, can anyone inform me as to the proper method for moving my apps/wallpapers/ringtones over to the Media partition once i am back to clean 1.1.3? i did try Bosstools .34a on my earlier 1.1.3 install and it did not work properly for moving the apps folder, only wallpapers and ringtones... it only moved a couple mb's worth of apps and the Calculator app vanished altogether. is there a proper method for moving and removing the /apps folder that someone can share perhaps? tia friends..!

Probably the image could be filled with correct tools (I assume iBrickr -version does just that). But, it would of course need to be done before writing it over /dev/disk0s1

I transferred /Applications to /private/var/Applications and created a symlink there from /Applications. Similarly also /System/Library/Fonts and /opt, as I have of course perl installed. One of the reasons I obtained iPhone in the first place was to get perl, terminal and (sigh) vi to my phone and also a unix based OS

Question iTunes issue - is this the same problem?

Hello, I wanted to confirm if this is the same issue that people have been having. I updated successfully last night to 1.1.3 using the DevTeam's JB. The only issue that I have is that when I plug the phone to the dock, iTunes does recognize the phone like it used. In other words, it is not listed as a device on iTunes. Is this the same issue that people are having with their iTunes sync? Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix it? Thanks for the help!

    I have 1.1.2 OTB, week 48.

    just on Stupid question!
i want to confirm because i havent understood very well.
With this method, can i upgrade a 1.1.2 OTB with BL4.6 to 1.1.3 and unlock it??
or can i only jailbreak it??
if i have HW unlocked the 1.1.2 BL4.6, can i upgrade it or will it lock again???

I am gone crazy now. Before I tried this official DEV TEAM jb, I updated with netkas's release, it worked except password can't save issue. last night I started to jailbreak from jailbroken 1.1.2(my iphone is OTB 1.1.2). till now I tried for 6 times. all failed...at first 3 times, it didn't seem activated.at last 3 times, iphone showed constant white apple....

finally I update 1.1.3 successfully! the reason I failed before is, I restore iphone's backup after I activated 1.1.1. so just leave your iphone itunes setting like new phone don't restore any previous backup.

this method is jailbreaking thing, not software unlocked.
If you have HW unlocked 1.1.2,your Bootloader shoudn't be 4.6 any more, it should be 3.9, and u will be available to use SW unlock method for 1.1.1 OTB. as long as ur iphone is unlocked, this method will remain unlocked.
