I am suddenly having the same problem. For some days the JB 1.1.3 was stable. I normally switch the iphone off down during nights and reboot it in the morning. Today suddenly the recovery screen showed up. Shortly after the MobileRSS reader hung and provoked a reboot.

Realo suggested in the other recovery thread to move the Applications to the other partition as shown in XianLi's post.

This is leading in the right direction. I checked the root partition on my iphone and it is indeed full. So I moved Applications to the private partition and linked it. It didn't help anymore. I think this has to be done before the root partition reaches the limit. Thanks for the hints and kudos to you Realo and XianLi.

I am back on 1.1.2 now, but I will retry the 1.1.3 JB tomorrow.

I assume this is still an issue or has a new 1.1.3 soft-up been released?

Question Seems volatile to me !?

I was having the recovery mode problem when the phone reboots itself after a crash.. I used ibrickr to kick it out.. Now when i turned it off manually and turned it on.. there was no problem.. after this i removed summerboard and reinstalled it..

I also tried manually rebooting the fone using sysinfo app..

Is it a problem only during crash n reboot situation ???

Do let me know if anyone found any solutions !!

it is a problem during crash and reboot or during a hard reset ( pressing and holding down the power and home button until the apple logo shows up)

I am somewhat disapointed that this issue is not getting much attention and that the DEV team has not released a fix for it.

    Hello fellows,
I had the "Recovery Mode" problem, that happened every boot.
I got it boot if I used iphuck
    Code:
    cmd fsboot
    cmd exit
But it was only temporary fix, next reboot the problem is back.
    So I tried
    Code:
    cmd setenv auto-boot true
    cmd saveenv
    cmd fsboot
    cmd exit
This was no different, problem still existed.
So last thing I did like you (used ibrickr to kick it out)
Then the "Recovery Mode" background turned to green and couple of seconds it rebooted, but this time phone was still in the recovery mode.
So I used ibrickr again to do his magic boot. Background turned green again and after boot phone was in normal mode.
Finally I did some test reboots and the problem was gone. So this ibrickr method was permanent for me too.

    Best Regards

I just wanted to report, that the recovery issue is gone now. I started again at zero:

    - Restore to 1.1.1
    - Oktoprep
    - Shift update to 1.1.2
    - JB 1.1.2
    - Soft update to 1.1.3
    - Change to Application partition
    - gunlock

I haven't installed any additional programs, besides the necessary BSD subsystem + ssh + VT100 Terminal, before I reached 1.1.3 and had changed the Applications link. After that, I installed my favorite stuff. The phone is stable now since 5 days with everything working (just the google locateme doesn't work due to the 04.02.13_G baseband.

So I am sure the partition full issue caused the "boot to recovery issue" on my iphone.
