    Lightbulb [1.1.3] Official 1.1.3 Upgrader - Changelog/Version History

This is an attempt to keep track of the status of the 1.1.3 Official Jailbreak
based on the test I did on my iPhone (Version 1.1.2 - Modem Firmware 04.02.13_G - BL 3.9)

    *****************************
GREAT NEWS FOR ALL BL3.9 iPhones
    *****************************

The Software unlock for the 1.1.3 Baseband (04.03.13_G) will be released soon!
    -- ONLY FOR Boot Loader 3.9 --

This will probably allow to update using iTunes and unlock...
    Result: a complete 1.1.3 (firmware+baseband) unlocked.

The current 1.1.3 upgrader (the one described in this thread) only updates
the firmware leaving the baseband untouched.
This prevents Google Map locateme to work...

Thanks to iPhone Elite Development Team!

-> EXPECT THIS TO CHANGE THE UPGRADE PROCEDURE <-

SW unlock for BL 4.6 iPhones is "Under heavy development"...
Keep up the good work guys!

H/W Bootloader downgrade is still the best choice in this case!!

    Before you start...
    -----------------------------------------------

Are you happy of your Jailbroken/Activated 1.1.2/1.1.1 iPhone?
If YES is your answer, I would suggest to WAIT and not to proceed with the 1.1.3 upgrade!
Many Apps are still not compatible and its recommended that only developers
upgrade their phones at this stage...

... but if you really can't wait...

    Decide where to start:

    1) From your current 1.1.2 jailbroken/activated iPhone:
apps will be lost but all your data will remain
I woud suggest to uninstall all your 3rdp Apps before starting!

    2) From a fresh 1.1.2 jailbroken/activated iPhone: (RECOMMENDED)
you will have to restore 1.1.1->1.1.2 and jailbreak
Here's a good tutorial for that

    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=461

    What's needed for 1.1.3 :
    -----------------------------------------------

    ( ) Jailbroken/Activated 1.1.2 iPhone
    ( ) Wi-Fi
    ( ) Auto-Lock set to never
    ( ) Installer (v 3.0)
    ( ) Community Sources (v 3.3)
    ( ) BSD subsystem (v 2.0)
    ( ) OpenSSH
( ) Official 1.1.3 upgrader using Installer through Conceited SW repository (current version 1.1.3-3)
( ) iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore.ipsw firmware file ~162MB (Not mandatory - only if you want to speed up the process)

    Official 1.1.3 Upgrader Tutorial:
    -----------------------------------------------

Here you can find a good Official 1.1.3 Upgrader tutorial (Installer Version)
    with many screenshots...

    Known issues status list:
    -----------------------------------------------

    - Direct firmware Download from Apple takes long time.
    Fixed in version 1.1.3-2
3 options available now before starting the upgrade:
    1) Let the script download the file from Apple
    2) Put iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore.ipsw in /var/root/Media before
starting the process. It will be decompressed on the iPhone
    3) Put 022-3743-100.dmg (already decompressed) in in /var/root/Media.
This will speed up the process!

    - System Partition WRONG SIZE
    Fixed - in Version 1.1.3-2

    - iTunes Syncronization
    Fixed - in version 1.1.3-2

"You must first connect to iTunes with an internet connection to enable YouTube" issue
    Workaround possible:
    add i.unlock.no to your sources
install the YouTube activation from the Unlocking tools-category
    reboot your iPhone

    - Google Maps Locate
    Working
Only after the installation of LocateMe v0.5 from Soneso.com
    (WHY? Good question... any clue?)

    - Cannot change TimeZone

    Still an issue
    Workaround possible:
    http://george.zjlotto.com/index.php/...ak-113-issues/

    - SMS Out of sequence

    Still an issue
This is an known bug from Apple. No fix yet.
    Workaround possible:

(Note that in some locations, network time may not be available and in some cases, you may not see this option)

    - BSD Subsystem "passwd" not working
    Still an issue
    Workaround possible:
    add http://www.trejan.com/irepo/ to your sources
and install SUID-LIB fix and the TERM fix from 1.1.3 tweaks.
    <Thanx blakes>

    - Summerboard

    Available for 1.1.3

    - Customize

do you need to remove all apps before going from UL JB 1.1.2 to UL JB 1.1.3?

What about when going from UL JB 1.1.1 to UL JB 1.1.2... do I need to remove all of my apps for that process?

    Thank you!

Is it best to unistall all of the apps with installer then reinstall them (if this is necessary)?

EDIT: I just read the no questions bit... sorry, please send pm. (should I remove the post?)
