[1.1.3] Not Jailbroken, but activated and using SIMple Sim
So i finally managed to use my 1.1.3 iphone with t-mobile using a *sim solution.
Here are the steps I did. (This will be an advanced tutorial and i won't go into much detail)
1. Downgrade the 1.1.3 OTB with 1.1.1 firmware using itunes.
1b. Boot with ibrickr. It won't work and stay green
1c. Shift Restore with 1.1.1 again
2. jailbreak and activate using jailbreakme.com method
3. Install Oktoprep from installer.
4. connect to itunes and click check for updates.
4a. when it asks you to update and restore, accept.
5. your iphone will restart and you should be in the home screen on 1.1.3 (awesome).
6. Now your phone won't be activated, so you either activate it using an ATT sim or perform the Fake server authentication.
7. Your ATT sim should be working and so will your *sim.
I'm Happily on T-mobile using 1.1.3, and I can post a video when I have time.

Fake server authentication? I didn't realise any activation bypass method worked with 1.1.3. And if there is one, does it work with none-iPhone sims? (O2, AT&T, etc)

2 i dont understand 6 step how you can activate at&t sim without paying??
-
Fake server authentication - you mean use #*307# method? with going to Jailbreak.com ?

I think he means DVD_jons old activation method. I must still have it somewhere. This takes me back to oldtimes (half a year ago).

i think the fake method is the old DVD JOHN METHOD
-
and how does the DVD john method work?

Its an old method. Activation goes tru iTunes, but you redirect iTunes to your own computer (localhost) while you run a fake activation server, wich tells iTunes that the activation is OK. But i think it is very unlikely that it suddenly works again on 1.1.3.
Edit: Addition: Using Oktoprep to go to 1.1.3???? I don't get this. This is very unlikely. It think they will have fixed that bug. Why would you do it anyway, you cant jailbreak afterwards, there is no jairbreak jet.

Why first downgrading and then upgrading again? Is it jailbroken as a result of this? If not, and you have to activate with other methods anyway, what are steps 1 to 5 for? It's already been said on other threads that the Home screen you get after this procedure is a one-time thing; next time you start, you get the Emergency call screen again.
