Default [1.1.3] Jailbreak/Softupdate, difference between Nate and iPhone Dev Team ?

Can anyone tell me what the differences are after upgrading using Nate True's iBricker 1.1.3 softupdate (which I found really easy to do!) and using the official Dev Team's version (which is a little more difficult to do, but not impossible).
    I have to say....
The end result of either is fantastic!
Hoping for a full unlock soon.

(I've got a UK OTB 1.1.2 jailbroken and now softupdated to 1.1.3)

Purportedly Nate's version breaks a component required for official third-party apps, basically making it a dead-end upgrade. The Dev Team's release preserves that component so theoretically when Apple releases the SDK and official apps start coming out, they will work on the phone.

Of course now that the unlock has been released, there's no guarantee that Apple won't break it with their next update. I thought the Dev Team was going to wait so as not to create this exact situation?

Edit: forgot to add that neither version upgrades the baseband, so they are not "full" solutions.

the difference is the dev team version had to download firmware 1.1.3 from apple. what if apple change the firmware to update bb automatically??? and you know what happen with 1.1.2 OTB!

One difference I found is that Nate's symlinks /var/root to /var/mobile
The dev's jb creates the /var/mobile folder as it should.

Now my problem is that iTunes is not syncing to /var/mobile, but to /var/root, so with the dev's jb iTunes syncs won't work as they should.

    I'm keeping 1.1.2 for a while, until a real 1.1.3 jb + baseband-unlock is released.

Default [1.1.3] - Jailbreak software - we need a new one without bugs?

Is there gonna be released another one, that doesn't dreak anything? (Except applications and locate in gmaps).

Nate's JB had it's problems, dev team release has it's problems.

Can we hope there will be a tweaked release soon and wait for i? Or we should install one of the 2 and apply fixes?

Default Advantages of Dev Team JB?

    Hey everyone,

I am running Nates JB and want to know why I should switch to the official dev team one? All i have gathered is that the official one is harder to do. I also hear rumors that Nates breaks the SDK apps but I am not to bothered because they come at the end of february (so I would switch then)

Please tell me the advantages of the official JB

i'd stick with Nate's IF yours is working perfectly.
it'll be soon enuff that 3rd party apps come available and when they do then you can find out if nates jb works or not or if there is a new fw upgrade from apple.
if it doesnt work then, the dev jb should be fully worked out and you can try theirs at the point.

Mirkrim, I assume you mean the HW unlock and not SW??
    Just trying to clarify that.

I meant the Dev Team's unlock. I thought they were waiting until SDK before releasing the unlock so Apple wouldn't have a chance to break it.
