you still need to run the signal.app even with the "patched" lockdownd 1.1.3, everytime you reboot or change sim cards..
I'm using the 1.1.3 patched lockdownd, but as every other IPSF-hacked phone I need to run the AT commands on every restart or simcard change.
The workaround using the Signal.app and the signal.plist works very good.
geohot, how are you using your unlocked baseband? Do you always run these commands?
To everyone using this script, remember to backup your seczone to be able to virginize in case a better solutions is published.
Can i run this in a 1.1.3 fw, 04.02.13_G with already unlocked with AnySim 1.2.1u?
Need to revert what anysim has done??
Guess you can also find a solution for 46BL soon!
BL 4.06 unlocks are impossible...................right
******** THIS WILL NOT WORK ON BOOTLOADER 4.6 ********
I would like t compile a tutorial for this IPSF_Geohot unlock, can someone who has done it successfully please confirm:
Just unpack, copy all the files, and run the shell script. Get bbupdater and the latest fls and eep and put in folder if you want the baseband to be restored automatically.
Download the new package on page 10 posted by SoLaR
copy the following files to usr/bin
give all files 777 permissions
open terminalvt-100 on the iphone
#chmod +x ipsf.sh
then follow instructions in terminal/putty
then use Dev Team Soft-Update to 1.1.3
and should have 1.1.3 firmware and modem/baseband 04.0313_G
If signal.app is not palced in the Applications folder, manually place it there (0775 permissions) and reboot, then run it manually from the springboard
On the 1.1.3 baseband, it relocks on every reset. This is true with real IPSF too. A script to send 'AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000" will fix this, but there should be a better way. Maybe this a feature on the new baseband and the new lockdownd does this.
install Patched Signal.app for IPSFed BL 3.9 1.1.3 iPhones (add to apps dir 755 permissions)
Get it from: http://r-a-p-i-d-s-h-a-r-e.de/files/...plist.zip.html (remove "-" from URL)
and put it into /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ for Signal.app to automatically run on startup/reboot
type the following in terminal
1. # launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
2. # minicom
5. launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
please add correct this, thanks - i am about to try this on a spare phone that has 0049 and only get back IMEI on 1.1.3 bb

Hope you have luck & I follow you. Please write your experience here.
Geohot added some info to his blog:
"The unlock command needs to be rerun on restart. Could someone patch lockdownd to send 'AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000"' on startup?"
So new patch lockdownd is needed.
After read the script, I don't think you need to start from scratch and it does not require baseband 4.03 to start with.
So you can skip upgrade/downgrade/jailbreak processes which will save you at least 30min.
Just run the script on any version jailbroken iPhone (require BSD), the script will IPSF the seczone and upgrade the baseband to 4.03.
After that if you already have 1.1.3 you will be fine, otherwise soft upgrade your phone to 1.1.3.
