I received my iphone today and im fucked up now! I was listening to some music and browsing the internet when suddenly my iphone hanged and then it restarted and when I turned it on there is just cable/arrow/iTunes icons on the front. I connected it to the computer and itunes told me: "iTunes must check the iPhone software update server to identify this device". I didnt click check. I just unplugged the iphone. wtf. please tell me there is a way to fix it! please! Please! please!

I think you are in restore mode. I'd bet money that you are running 1.1.3 with the 1.1.2 baseband as it always seems to end up doing that at some point. You need to use iBrickr to boot your phone back to normal.
