Default [1.1.3][Geohot Unlock] No Space - can't install anything

    Hi guys,

I tried to run the Geohots unlock tool. It crashed to the springboard as it started to install and now I can't install anything. SSH'ing to my phone says this

    # df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
    /dev/disk0s1 267M 267M 0B 100% /
    devfs 18K 18K 0B 100% /dev
    /dev/disk0s2 7.3G 1.1G 6.2G 15% /private/var
    #

I don't see how the disk is full. How can I stop it doing this? I have tried removing things but it doesn't give me any space back at all.

    Thanks

You need to remove things from the system partition: applications, not music/pictures/videos. See what you can uninstall through Installer.

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

Already done that. I only have 5 apps installed anyway. So I don't see how it can be full.

I tried moving the Applications folder onto the second parition, but when I come to symlink it it says it can't cause there is no space on disk1 to do it.

Do you have SSH installed? Then you could have a look at the folders in / and see how big each of them is.

Sorted it finally. Had to delete the Applications folder then symlink it. Have now got bosstools installed and have moved fonts over.

Is there an SSH command that will show me what the biggest files are?

    You could try
    Code:
    ls -alR > listoffiles.txt
to put a full list of files and their sizes in a text file... Will take a long time and some analysis afterwards...
