[1.1.3] Flaky Google Maps Locator
My friend has a OOB 1.1.3 16GB iPhone (O2-UK).
He had already activated it on an official contract, and then used ZiPhone to unlock/jailbreak it.
Since then, and even though his Modem FW remains at 04.03.13_G, his google maps locator function has stopped working, UNLESS he does the LocateMe/Navizon fix every time he reboots/exits Airplane mode.
Any ideas why this might be happening? And while we're at it, has anyone ever actually explained WHY the LocateMe fix works?

After ziphone unlock,BB cannot be 04.03 on a 4.6 BL phone.
It has to be 04.02
Are you sure about the BB?
First ever Apple product I bought : iPhone.

I just love the way we are now getting many posts saying "My Friend says / has / did etc" - I always read those posts (and this one) as being from the poster. If 'Friend' has a problem why hasn't he posted?
Why does it seem that the Google Maps feature is the 'next big thing' ?? For those that have / use it answer this - "How accurate is it?" - In my case Google places me about 3Klm NW of my real location and Locate Me has me living about 2Klm east of my real location - get over it guys it's just a TOY there is no GPS chip in the iPhone to give any meaningful result.

Downgrading BL is his choice.I don't want to say either yes or no.
He has unlocked it so he can use it anywhere he wants.Patch appsupport is a good idea.Does it support Malaysia?

Yeah, it does support Malaysia. I don't think he wants to obviously void his warranty, so its just appsupport for now. Thanks!
So does anyone know WHY locateme kickstarts google locate?
