    Default [1.1.3] Editing phoneformats.plist

    One of the hacks i had on my 1.1.2 iphone was editing the phoneformats.plist file to put in custom formats for how i would store overseas numbers in my phone. I tried to edit the file in 1.1.3 and it comes up encrypted somehow and not following the same order as the previous firmware. Anyone know how we would go about doing this?

    Looking for this as well. Everyone who call end up as their respective phonenumbers instead of names. -_-

    Same problem; I have tried every kind of fix, fax, fux, tips, update, tricks, upload, changes.. everything.. I'm from Switzerland, my contacts are with the format +41 7* *** ** **. so I receive SMS correctly (contact names), but phone calls with 07* *** ** **

    my phone 1.1.2 OTB bootloader 4.6 -> 1.1.3 Jailbreak... -> *SIM

    please help me...

    thx a lot

    there is a patched appsupport file for 1.1.3 that fixes all of those issues. But i'm looking for a way to put the phone numbers on the phone in the format ## ### ### as opposed to (###) ###-##.

    Incredible!! Next to hundred attempts..I have resolved the CallerID problem for Switzerland:

    // Switzerland [ch]
    us 41 00 0 ## #######

    In the file named PhoneNumberTemplates.txt it needs to change ch with us

    now it works! I hope this can help someone...

    That solution is for caller id matching it's not for the way that the phone numbers are stored in the phone book. for example i don't want a number being (709) 029-99 i woudl want it 70 902 993

    with 1.1.2 youc ould edit the uiphoneformats.plist file but in 1.1.3 it looks cryptic for some reason.

    SOLUTION

    The Plist files in the new 1.1.3 firmware are binary instead of regular xml now so i had to use a plist editor that could edit binary formated lists. On mac os x there is one called plist edit pro and i edited the plist file there sent it back to the phone using ssh and all is well.

    I just copied my patched 1.1.2 UIPHoneFormats.plist file onto 1.1.3 and worked perfectly.

    Hope this helps.
