    Default [1.1.3][Discussion] How to extract files from firmware?

    Concerning 1.1.3 unlock/jailbreak:
    Does anyone know a way to extract the different files from firmware "restore files"?

    I thought there might be a way to update only the firmware but not the baseband.
    But even then we would need the jailbreak for 1.1.3 because the firmware does the activation check, correct?

    Now concerning the 1.1.2 otb software unlock:
    I read in this blog here:

    about a possible Software exploit for the new bootloader.
    Does anyone know enough about math and cryptography to explain how this can be used for a software unlock of 1.1.2 otb?

    Edit:
    I have downgraded my 1.1.2 otb to bl3.9. I only did this to play around with 1.1.3, so if anyone hasideas to test on 1.1.3 please tell me!

    I would be very happy if someone could help me out on either of those two topics.

    - Now soft upgrade to 1.1.3, still jailbroken and unlocked.
    - Restored to 1.1.4 and unlocked using repo by iClarified.

    Have you heard about tha Hardware Unlock everybody is talking about? That downgrades the bootloader to 3.9 ;-)
    iPhone 1.1.2OTB BL4.6
    - H/W downgraded to BL3.9 then unlocked.
    - Now soft upgrade to 1.1.3, still jailbroken and unlocked.
    - Restored to 1.1.4 and unlocked using repo by iClarified.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.
