Guys, does this signal.app besides running on each startup also materialize as an icon on the springboard? I mean I don't mind it doing its thing, it's just I'm a little too icon-fobic to have another icon sitting around doing nothing most of the time

then hide the app...

Yeah, that'd work, but like I said I don't feel like installing Customize or a similar app to just hide the signal.app icon... Then I'd need to hide Customize icon too, have no other use for that...

my opinion:

go with anysim 1.3 for now. It works is reliable and easier to do, and you won't ned workarounds for it. Then in a bit of time when the ipsf method from GEO gets fixed yp to not need workarounds and comes in a more user friendly package, you can always switch over seamlessly.

the same can't be true if you do GEohot first.

thing is fellas, jsut like old iUnlock etc you have no idea what the new ZibriAnySim is doing. the dev's dont support / endorse it either so the support will have to be user dirven and dont expect patches anytime soon from the official devs for it.

I have done the GeoHot iPSF.sf remix and i can say it ahs changed allot between last night and today how easy it is to do.

i belive by tomorrow or weekend it will bundled into a .app and you wouldnt even know signal.app is running, (i dont i rebooted the phone a few times with different sims to test)

yes it does have it querks, like i have to play a ringtone or sound to get back sound after ever reboot/signal.app (SoLoR fixed the signal.plist) but how often do you really reboot when the phone is working properly (i dont reboot mine for weeks)

The IPSF/Geohot remix is restore/downgrade resistant, gives you backups of your seczones to reverse anythign done by it if ever a cleaner more permanent solution comes out..

Zibris AnySim on the other hand is run by virtually a one man show, and is a hacked versions of AnySim that already is proven not to be a permanent solution..

Once done from 1.1.3 with 1.1.3 baseband, jailbreaked, it will be easy and smooth.. (update to 1.1.3 in itunes, down to 1.1.1 - 1.1.2 - official dev soft-update - run ipsf.sh form terminal)

your decision.. mine is ipsf remixed by geohot
