Hi guys, just wanted to share my expierience and take your fear with getting rid of your xSim.

Since i have a shitty chinese xSim that always looses Connection and i got really sick of the "No Sim" signal breaks i tried the software way, since ZiPhone users seems pleased i gave it a try.

I had a jailbroken & activated 1.1.2 OTB with 4.6BL, lots of software installed (the Apps folder symlinked to the media partition) and just wanted to unlock my phone with ZiPhone and nothing else (since everything was already done).

I didnt find a guide for this, so i just tried.

Put my Phone in recovery mode, iTunes poped up, i left it open and started ZiPhone, checked the Unlock and pressed Start. ZiPhone got stuck at "Searching for Phone"

I disconnected the phone from USB, killed iTunes, killed ZiPhone & connected again.
iTunes poped up and i killed it again (i know zibri stated otherwise but i did it )

Then i started ZiPhone again, checked Unlock and clicked Start and it ... woohoo Started.

after 2"30 i got a software unlocked phone, signal seems stable and everything is like i left it. no difference with software and status of my phone. hoooray.

..even easier, just do the Geohot unlock for 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 from the Installer (iClarified)...don't have to do ANYTHING...just run it, wait for a few minutes (it look like it's freezing but it's not)..and that's it! Works perfectly.
