Hi everyone,

I have just bought an iPhone and it is locked/un-activated to AT&T. What i want to know is, how do i downgrade the firmware to jailbreak it, and unlock it. I want to use it with my o2 UK sim card, any help would be very appricciated ;-)

Follow the guide that tells you how to do it, very easy just print off and follow the steps.

The only problem you might have ... is your o2 sim working in your USA phone.

The reason I say this is that for a UK bought phone with the latest firmware and boot loader can be activated and then used on the O2 UK network.

Now your phone is a USA AT&T phone and I will assume the very latest, so it may not work on O2.

Try it, if it does not work, you will have to buy a TurboSIM, so the iphone thinks it is on a AT&T network, but really on a UK one.

Why wouldnt it work also, it is a US iPhone ith an o2 UK sim.

I have just read another post .. you are stuck, for your USA iphone you will need a turbosim ..

If you had bought a UK iPhone, you would have been OK to use O2 (pay as you go etc)

if you own a mac, please try this one (based on using a TurboSIM, coz softwareunlocking OTB 1.1.2 with Bootloader 4.6 isn´t working at the moment)
