Hi, today I jailbroke my iPhone (1.1.1) and a noticed jailbreakme.com installed a new versione of AppTapp.
I'm following the tutorial but unfortunately the source "sleepers.net/iphonerepo" doesn't work. I click "Add" in the source tab, I type in the url (with http:// at the beginning) and then AppTapp refreshes the sources... but at the end I can't see the "Unlock that Phone" folder in the category list.
Anyone having the same issue?
Main script execution error
I am having a similar problem
I got a OTB 1.1.1 version . Jailbroke it n installed App frm the jailbreakme.com
then it asked me to update the App so i did it .
After that I installed the BSD System n after that my Wifi is gone
it says no WiFi
upgraded , downgraded nothing .
now my question is how do i get back the Wifi?
according to me I have to virginize my phone but without the WiFi I dont know how?
I have unblocked 2 more phones after that but did not install the new version of the installer before installing the BSD System n they worked perfect.
So i dont know the problem is sometimes in the BSD System or isit if u upgrade the App before installing the BSD system it create this problem.
Pls any one having any info Help!!
I found a solution:
PROBLEM: you have an iPhone with 3.9 bootloader (that is to say it's not a 1.1.2 OTB or 1.1.3 OTB). You screwed up the baseband or you did an accidental upgrade to 1.1.3 or no WiFi or similar problems that may let you think you need to virginize it.
0) Restore to 1.1.3 (this is an important step)
1) Restore to 1.0.2
2) You may get an error (1015 or 1013)... that's a good sign
Moreover it may be in restore mode (you see a yellow triangle telling you to connect to iTunes). It's ok.
Open Independence and let it kick the iPhone out of restore mode, then simply jailbreak it (if you're under windows just use an equivalent program).
3) Install ssh with Independence.
3) Download AppTapp and install it (I manually extracted Installer.app from /AppTapp Installer/Contents/Resources and copied it to the /Applications folder of the iPhone using an sftp client... like Transmit or Fugu or you can even manually use "scp -rp...")
5) Installed BSD Subsystem
6) followed the steps here (starting from step 2):
7) I downloaded the virginizer pack from here:
8) I downloaded the automatic virginizer script from here:
9) I decompressed the archives and I put both contents in a single directory on the iPhone called /virginization
10) I runned the virginator.sh
11) After the virginization process finished I restored to 1.1.2.
Congratulations.. you have a fresh new virgin 1.1.2 iPhone.
If you want to unlock it just follow this tutorial:
So step 0, restore to 1.1.3, via itunes? Or installer?
The reason you got "main script execution failed" was that there was a problem with the files at the server some hours yesterday, but it's fixed now. I'm sorry about that.

The package info clearly says that it will repair damages done with old unlocking solutions. So why would you do it when you unlocked it with new anySIM? There's no point at all. For some reason people think virginize = the solution to all problems.
Please only use "The Virginizer" only if your phone was unlocked before 1.1.1 was released. It won't solve any other problem.
If you mistakenly upgraded from 1.1.1 to 1.1.x and want to downgrade - "Baseband downgrade" is the package you are looking for - not "The virginizer" like people tends to do.
