[1.1.2 with Ultrasim]Ziphone -u enough?
Hi,
I STFF but I haven't seen the answer to this:
My phone: 1.1.2.OTB jailbroken and activated with that *#131# and so on... method. Unlocked with a x-sim card. BSD subsystem, SSH, 3rd party programs etc installed and 100% working. I want it to stay like above, i.e. 1.1.2 but get rid of the x-sim card so that I can change sim-card more easily.
My question: Will Ziphone -u do the trick?

Bombjack ,
yes this is sufficient and I feel you shud use ziphone 1.0 for this because I am very comfortable myself using the same and being a very newbie in this field.

I am in the same situation, with turbosim. I want to upgrade to 1.1.3.
will I be able to keep all settings/data/software that are currently installed on my 1.1.2 ootb?

Not advisable as many of the s/w may not run smoothly on 1.1.3 and settings also may slow down the working of iphone and occupy the space too in the partition so IMO best is to upgrade to 1.1.3 as a new iphone and then proceed further

I was in exactly the same situation as you.
I ran Ziphone v2.3 with just -u and it worked perfectly. I then patched AppSupport for 1.1.2 using the method here:

This allows you to use sim cards from countries you visit without the phone crashing when making calls.
um........is not an answer

Ok, thanks everyone for response.
I connected iPhone to computer and started Itunes, which paired as normal. Left Itunes open and ran ziphone -u. 2.30" later I'm done. It works! Ultrasim RIP!
