Question [1.1.2] Restoring to factory state

I need to restore my phone to it's original state. I've read through various threads on this site and think I understand it, but would like someone just to confirm my understanding

The phone was originally 1.1.2 OTB, jailbroken, activated and later unlocked using geohot's original 1.1.2 4.6 method (this was before ziphone, iLiberty, etc appeared). The firmware was never updated to 1.3 or 1.4 and the bootloader is still the original 4.6. Am I correct in saying that if I do a restore in iTunes to 1.4, then I should be OK?

My understanding is that the current 1.2 firmware will be overwritten to 1.4 and my current baseband (04.02.13) will be overwritten with the latest version (04.03.xx, not sure of the latest version number) thus overwriting geohots unlocking method.

    yes or no to what??

The only question you asked were: "Am I correct in saying that if I do a restore in iTunes to 1.4, then I should be OK?" which does not match your thread topic which is "restoring to factory state".

If you want your phone back to 1.1.2 the way you bought it, then you have to undo the unlock and then restore to 1.1.2

If you restore to 1.1.4, then your phone will look like a new OTB 1.1.4 phone. Fw 1.1.4 and BB firmware 04.04.05_G

Sorry for not being clear. I need to send the phone back to Apple and I want to remove any evidence of unlocking, activating and jailbreaking. I just want to make sure that if I restore to 1.1.4 that my phone will appear as a 1.1.4 OTB phone.

Thanks for the reply, you've confirmed what I thought
