hi my friend has just hardware unlocked his phone and was restoring to 1.1.2 to get his baseband back and he gets the error 1604? he has got no wifi so cant do anything? no imei or anything?

please help

and when trying to restore to 1.1.2 we get error 1604

ok restarted computer and changed usb socket now its taking ages to prepare iphone for restore, its taking like 15 mins

Your windows registry for itunes mess up... This is cause by install and uninstall of itunes. I had this problem and only a new reload of WindowXP and itune works.
