I can confirm 100% that sw unlock for 1.1.2 otb phones exists
you cannot confirm 100%
1. you didn't open the case and you don't know if something else is soldered inside
2. you didn't watch the process and you cannot say if it was the software or hardware unlock
so either show the quality video of uncased iPhone being 1.1.2 OTB locked and becoming unlocked after some soft manipulations or release the method itself, no other things are needed for the proof

It's very hard to say with any certainty that something cannot be done. And Geohot himself complained about being "out of the loop" with the dev teams; he probably doesn't know the details of their thinking.
iPhone 3GS / 3.1.2 JB (PwnageTool) / 04.26.08 carrier-locked, Carrier Logo Fixer / Cydia / 1000 posts on Hackint0sh
Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.
Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
* on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
* on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

i had some sort of an epiphany today, here it was on my bed, dead, a stupid ipod touch,ok so i need the ipod part, but i mean like once every couple of days.
and i have thi pathetic broken razr, that refuses to die the damn thing, (btw if ur looking for a good long lasting phone go with the razr, it fell in my toilet sink and it;s still working) so here in lebanon they don't sell'em damn Xsims, so i'm gonna look real hard for one, or ask a friend of mine that's leaving for paris.
anywhat, i'm looking, Xsim it is, what's the point in waiting, i'm tired! i want to use my phone.

i'll wait ...
In november 2008 the first AT&T phone plans will come to an end, and i think Apple will be forced to provide legal unlocks for people willing to terminate their at&t phone plans.
maybe, that may open possibilities to exploit the NCK stuff .. who knows. I don't really know for how long apple and at&t signed their deal, but i bet they will try to do something to bring back the 1 million of "lost" (unlocked) iphones. The only solution i see for apple is to provide legal unlocks at a certain charge.
For example, in france, there is a law for cell phone carriers to provide unlocks free of charge after 6 first months from the date of phone plan purchase., and that will happen to the iphones too.
but anyways, this becomes fucking annoying and i dont know for how long im gonna wait.
fuck apple
fuck at&t

its good if we got informed but we dont!

In france the law oblidged them and the phone is sold unlocked ONLY for 750 or 650euro ONLY(dont remember the exact price).Would you like that kinda of charging plan???Have little faith in Apple letting get away with cracking their phone cheap

NO one is working a software unlock for 1.1.2 becasue there is just not enough people to make it possible
