If I were in the teams I would've lost heart already, not because its difficulty (which always motivates those of us with a curious intellect), but for the low support you guys give.

So what if they don't publish their advances, let them work on what they enjoy, and get free benefit from that.

    Period!!!
Hey just think if this bootloader is difficult to crack, what about the next one and the next one...Apple is probably just toying with us and will continue to do so forever

The only thing that will end it is when they finally legally have to unlock the iPhones after ended contracts or in France, either one.

but still solutions will always exist because if 1.1.3 was hardware unlocked, it had to be jailbroken, so has OTB 1.1.3 been jailbrken yet? And when will we be able to use out OTB iphones with xSIM?

No one has said that they dont work, but they worked out JB for 1.1.2 OOTB and now for 1.1.3 but no unlock, it really seems that they really do work together with *SIM sellers, they do JB and then we can use our phones with *SIM. I dont know, I cannot undestand that JB is 1000x easier than unlock, they JB it almost before the firmware is out and on the other hand, they didnt move a bit for 3 months in terms of unlocking...

The protection on the simlock is much stronger than on the "jail". It's to be expected that jailbreak is much easier than unlock. Unfortunately it also seems to be much higher priority than unlock, for the devs.
    iPhone 3GS / 3.1.2 JB (PwnageTool) / 04.26.08 carrier-locked, Carrier Logo Fixer / Cydia / 1000 posts on Hackint0sh

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

I Think the Teams are doing a great Job with the progress so far. I did have an idea though get an email notifiction when the iphone 1.1.2 has been fully software unlocked. so all the people that have registered could receive email update news or even an rss feed.

Sorry guys just be patient it will happen...

My mate got mine from America 2 months ago. I dont mind waiting id rather wait for a solution than stuff it up on the hardware unlock. Not to brave on the opening of the phone.

just like to say thanks for the Jailbreak solution and all the hard work guys.

Sorry Busha, but you are totally wrong.

The DevTeam decided to not release the 1.1.3 Jailbreak before the SDK release.
Nate True decided to go alone on the release and so the DevTeam had to release it.

This conspiracy theory sounds more like that whiners that are presuming the DevTeam to work with *sim sellers and not to care about a 1.1.2 Software Unlock are the same whiners complaining for the 1.1.3 Jailbreak postponed release.

Default Another split among the Devs?

I *know* that Zibri doesn't represent all of Italy with this crap he's pulled tonight.

So there's now the Dev Team, Nate True who was kicked out of that last week, the Elite Dev Team, Zibri who distances himself from it, and the independents like Geohot, TA_Mobile, IMTH etc. Trust among the devs seems low; let's hope some of them are still sharing stuff.
