Hi there guys, I have a 04.02.13_G Iphone.

I read that if my serial on the box is 45 and above I have the new bootloader which cannot be unlocked, BUT my serial says 43, Does that mean I can Unlock it???

Im trying to do the jailbreak method but when I try to connect to a webpage it keeps saying "safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." Why is this happening? I cant connect to any webpages at all! yesterday before I changed any firmewares and stuff the phone could connect to pages fine!

Please help me out guys

Can not be unlocked with software, the serial number WAS just a way to guess which baseband it has, no guarantees. You know it already, so looking at the serial number doesn't tell anything.

Nevertheless, you should be able to surf the web... It is a different problem. Nothing to do with the baseband/firmware.

btw. It is possible that the server is down. Try different URL.

Check your Wi-Fi network - seems to me like you have lost the Wi-Fi connection

The phone is not activated i think, Im following the guide from http://iphone.unlock.no/ the first part, my wifi seems fine coz it shows my ip address and gateway addresses? Man this stuff is difficult! I thought it would be quite easy but it taking a lot of time, but thanks for you help guys

edit: the wired thing is that i can access my modem/routers interface via the iphone (http://10.0.0.138) whilst no external webpages work.....

Week43 ??? my serial says 44,it is 1.1.1OTB, I bought it in CA

iPhone can be unlocked or not, not only see the week and the version in iPhone..
Old iphone with bootloader 3.X, but 1.1.2 OTB with bootloader 4.X. Bootloader 4.X can not be unlocked only by software.

Some people said, some of the week 44 or 45 is soft upgrade.
You should check the bootloader version. but I forgot how to do that, you can search it. I just remember use WinSCP put some files in iphone and check that.

If your bootloader is 3.X, and you want to use it in 1.1.1, Frist you need downgrade it to 1.0.2 in some trobule way(I did it, so trobule), in that way can change 04.02.13_G the version number. After do that you can unlock it, and use any sim card.

If your bootloader is 4.X, the version 04.02.13_G can not be changed, you only can use your iphone in 1.1.2, but u still can unlock it, but only use AT&T card. If u dont use AT&T, u need buy "Turbo Sim" or "Free Sim".

But I think week43 is 3.X version.... anyway, GOOD LUCK..

The biggest problem I have now is that I CANNOT connect to the internet via the Iphone!!!!

I installed 1.1.1 and also 1.0.2 and CANNOT use the internet, once I reaload 1.1.2 the internet is fine, but I cant run jailbreakme.com because it dont work on 1.1.2 therefore I need help to why I cant run my internet on other verions apart from 1.1.2????

If you have week 43, you probably can unlock it... 99,99% that it has the old bootloader (3.9), check for the bootloader version just to be sure, but i bet it is the old version.

Just downgrade to 1.1.1 and IT MUST WORK.

Just put the phone into DFU, RESTORE to 1.1.1, itunes will report error 1015 or something, and use a program to reboot the iphone from the restore mode, THEM IT WILL WORK, it MUST WORK, I have already done this several million times

I would not bet important body parts on this. In Germany the first load of 1.1.2 OOB came out as week 43 (I had one of those that was replaced by Apple, now it is a week 46). Also there were reports that refurbished ones from older weeks had an upgraded bootloader. The safe way always is to check under Settings->General->Info->Modem Firmware. If 4.02.13_G is shown there, then you have to wait for a possible unlock in the future or go with Turbosim or the likes.

Mine shows it as 04.02.13_G, I knew I couldnt software unlock it.
