Thats why when some SO CALLED experts come on and quote YEAH NO PROBLEMS Week 45 and below is unlockable they have no idea. I have a week 43 on 1.1.2 but it honestly doesn't surprise me at all that it appears in week 3X phones.

Sorry to hear though. They make a great iPod. Just ask me

    Taken from the FAQ:
Generally all iPhones created after week 45 have the newest firmware 1.1.2. Checking the week is easy:
Turn the iPhone box over and look at the Serial No. For example, my serial is 7T7382R…All you have to do is look at the 4th and 5th number in that serial. I have a week 38 build. If you have a serial that is 45 and above, you have the newest firmware.
    Notice the underline there?

I have a week 38 and it can be unlocked.

    I had two 8GB iphones, week 39 & 40, that were both 1.1.2 OTB & 4.6BL
Serial number won't tell you anything anymore!

The *ONLY* way to tell, when it's still in the box is by the IMEI.
New bootloader iPhones have much higher numerical IMEI.
    3.9 BL = 01130100 (Every 8GB iPhone I unlocked had 011300 or 011301
    4.6 BL = 01134600
    4.6 BL = 01135200

    See a pattern?

if u live outside of US all phones have the new bootloader.

I buy all my phones from AT&T and I 've bought many 44's and 41's and a couple other

    they were all 3.9BL

If you bought it in USA you probably bought it from APPLE STORE who Ive heard may update their phones are re-seal them.
