For me the answer was simple. Bootloader downgrade is simply not possible with software as far as we know, and without a bootloader downgrade I was going to be constantly waiting for the next release/secpack to unlock the phone.

The downgrade took about 2 hours, and honestly it's not that tough. But you need to know what you're doing, and do not under any circumstances run the commands over wifi. After ienew runs, wifi dies and you're screwed without MobileTerminal/term-vt100.

Unfortunately the rear metal case is really, really easy to bend and mine has a slight lip to it. I plan on buying a new one to replace it as they're not that expensive.

I'm now running 1.1.2 unlocked via AnySim 1.2.1u and bootloader 3.9

It took me forever to get the commands to work. I restarted my phone after unloading the CommCenter, and then issued the commands. I got the test point the scond time. I restored to 1.1.2 then 1.1.1 used ibricker to boot the phone, then I virginized the phone, then was able to unlock.
