[1.1.2 OTB] Visual Voice Mail wont work, Tried everything

hi, i've run the following command:

rm /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist

ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/O2_UK.plist /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist

rm -f /var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

i have also edited the O2_UK.plist to enable the edge menu:

youtube worked after jailbreak and activation for some reason, didnt previous time i hacked it.

ive tested the visual voice mail with an o2 Contract sim card, ive tried the:

*5005*86*902# but that doesnt work either.

anyone got an ideas?

i thought you couldn't use visual voice mail with other carriers, can you??

o2 is the default UK iphone provider dstam

Is the plan you are on an iPhone plan? if not, maybe this is the cause!

no, i havent signed up for an iphone contract, im using a contract o2 sim card from a different phone i have.

visual voicemail is only available on iphone specific contracts

you sure *5005*86*901# doesnt work???

isnt it 902? i tried 902 but no luck.

No I'm sure UK o2 is 901..

What happens when you push vvm button? does it dial then fail to connect? or does it do nothing at all.

it just phones the audible voicemail

A way to fix vvm is to use iDemocrazy 2, under the jailbreak 1.1.2 tab is edge & vvm fix and because you're on o2 just make sure the O2_UK.plist file has the 901 number set in the text.
