Which German provider are you using? I'm having the same problem with an 'unlock' SIM called iSim. It worked fine for two weeks, and then after turning the phone off an on, I now get a NO SIM message. Just as in your case, the 'unlock' SIM still works fine with another German provider. I wonder now, if these unlock SIMs have a built-in expiration date.

I'm on Simyo - which provider are you using?

I tried O2 Germany and it works, though it would be interesting to see for how long.

    Using a U.S. 1.1.2 OTB.

This is the case with many sim-solutions.
What you need to do is add an extra thin layer to your sim-card. Obv. the side with no chip.

Just take a regular piece of tape (you know, the see-thru one), and use a scissor to cut it for perfect fit. This should work, I have great experience with this method on original Turbo-Sim cards, and it'll probably do the magic with your solution as well.

i did that before, i fixed the simfreer with a thin tape with my original sim and it worked great like i told for about 2 weeks. i didnt remove the sims till they didnt work anymore. now ive got the other original sim inside without taped to simfreer and it works great, but it is the wrong number an a much more expensive contract, so i want to use my old sim again.

isnt there any solution for my problem here?

    plz help

Well, I've tried another Simyo card with my iSim in another IPhone (1.1.2 OTB U.S.) and same thing, that iSim (from digibox21) just doesn't recognize the Simyo cards anymore. I don't think the Iphone is blocking the number as the other IPhone and other Simyo card I tried the iSim with were used for the first time together.

Plug in any other provider and all is fine. I've also tried improving the contact with tape, etc. as suggested above, but no luck. I'll be using O2 Germany now with the iSim and see if after roughly two weeks or so it stops working as well.

I'm fairly certain the problem is with the iSim - maybe an incompatibility with the Simyo card after a while? I've read there are different types of SIMs out there that providers use...the problem started after turning the phone off and on. Maybe the iSim got fried somehow.

I have the same problem with my NextSIM 2 it was working for 2 weeks and than after a restart I got the massage "No SIM". I tried several SIM cards with my phone and all are working only my original (which was working for 2 weeks) doesn't work anymore. I have no idea what the problem is. Now I am waiting for my new SIM from my provider and I hope that one is not working only for 2 weeks. This seems to become a real problem. And the time is always 2 weeks. I have read about that also in a german forum.
I hope somebody can help us.
I will let you know if my new card is working with my iPhone and how long.

    Bye BlueIce
