[1.1.2 OTB] Upgrading to 1.1.4 (incl. cut original simcard with turbosim)
Hey guys,
I have a 1.1.2 OTB iPhone unlocked with a turbosim now. I want to upgrade to 1.1.4 but am having trouble finding out if this is possible. If this is possible and there is a tutorial on this, could someone point me to it.
Cheers,
Reid

Its dead simple just restore to 1.1.4 and use iPlus 2.0 b or Ziphone to do the job for you. Just make sure what BL you have before using Ziphone, you should either have 3.9 or 4.6.
You can also follow the guides on iClarified, there are many other guides available should you want to use this.
Good luck!!

Could someone please definitely tell me: if i upgrade to 1.1.4 and Jailbreak+Activate+Unlock it using Ziphone or some stuff like that can i keep my TURBOSIM inside the phone?? I understand it would work without any ***SIM or extra Hardware but my SIM is cutted now, adapted to the TURBOSIM chip, and everything firmly sits inside the phone... i actually would not remove anything or spend something more if possible!
THANKS

Unlocked means Unlocked, whatever simcard is installed in the simtray.

I'm familiar with the ZiPhone, Pwnage Tool, iLiberty, etc. I know you don't need a TurboSIM with those. My questions is, if I preferred so, is there any way to use a TurboSIM for the "unlocking" with 1.1.4 and only activate it per software?
The main reason is that all those tools alter the baseband and that could potentially create problems if the iPhone ever needs to be serviced by Apple. Say it is somehow damaged in such a way that I can't revert the changes made by the unlocking software anymore but Apple can still see them, then they will no doubt deny warranty.
There may also be advantages simply from having the new bootloader.
It seems from looking around here that's not possible, but I couldn't find a definite answer. All stickies refer to older versions and the regular posts I found didn't help either. If it's really currently impossible, where does it hang? Anything that can be done about it?
Thanks!

I had 1.1.3 Turbo, restored in iTunes to 1.1.4, used Pwnage Tool and it worked perfect, didn't even bother taking out TurboSIM...
