Default 1.1.2 OTB Upgraded to 1.1.3 PLEASE ONLY ANSWER IF YOU ARE 100% SURE.

I MIGHT get a phone that was originally 1.1.2 OTB USA. Then upgraded to 1.1.3 via iTunes.

It has the new 4.03 BASEBAND. I AM GOING TO UPGRADE BACK TO 1.1.3 and LEGITLY. MEANING CONNECTING TO ITUNES AND ACTIVATING... signing up for a new contract etc etc.

So basically it will be a legit phone running the legit iPhone plan on AT&T in USA.

    NOW MY QUESTIONS IS:

Will I be able to successfully jailbreak this phone AND be able to use my new AT&T service?

PLEASE ONLY ANSWER IF YOU ARE 100% SURE. I am sorry but I do not want any probably's or maybes. I asked this questions before and I got very mixed answers from people who had no idea at all what they were talking about.

    THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!

As far as I know, there is no jaibreak for 1.1.3 OTB (your situation), and yes, I am sure I didn't hear about thisBUT I MAY BE RETARDED LOL!

This is not OTB 1.1.3. This is OTB 1.1.2 upgraded

I can easily downgrade to 1.1.2 and jailbreak. But the Baseband wont be downgraded.

Does the baseband matter when jailbreaking iPhones?

I mean I will be using a legit plan so I dont need to unlock it.

If you want to use it as 1.1.3, than its fine (even better if it has a new firmware). I said 1.1.3OTB becouse 1.1.2OOTB upgraded with iTunes to 1.1.3 == 1.1.3 OOTB (well, you cant tell them appart)

Activate your phone to register for service at 112
then use JB to soft update to 113

There is no way to use itunes to activate a 113 that has JB
nor is there a way right now to JB a phone that was -restored- to 113

But same as above, I have YET to see someone trying to ACTIVATE an iPhone in the unlocking thread. YMMV.

Even if it is with the old BL the baseband still gets upgraded and he does not mention anything about downgrading the baseband.

unless bootloader prevents you from putting the lockdown file in... I'm not sure about taht.

you can do that, but its just that it aint a official full 1.1.3 jailbreak method. so its not all that stable. but of course you can try it. follow that guide exactly and report back. it should work but i would wait for a real jailbreak and jus use ur phone at factory 1.1.3 until then. doing the softupgrade even tho u already have the proper baseband wont get signal at first til u do the lockdown file crap. man this 1.1.3 is giving me such a headach with all its necessary changes jus to get shit working
    originally OTB 1.1.2 iPhone 4.6BL
    hActivated/Jailbroken/gUnlocked
    Tzones hacked
    T-Mobile USA

    now blackra1n'd 3.1.2
