Default [1.1.2 OTB] upcoming unlocking requirements/Reverting back to original software state

Just bought my iphone last week from Vegas and its still sitting sealed in its plastic glory while I wait for the unlock to come about. But now I am thinking I want to play with it :-D

I'm about to follow this thread, http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18284
to downgrade/jailbreak/activate/upgrade back my iphone so its activate and jailbroken with 1.1.2.

My question is if I do all this, is there a way to revert it back to the original 1.1.2 it was when it came out of the box? Also, when the dev team releases an unlocking method, will it require me to put it back to original 1.1.2 or will it require a jailbroken/activated 1.1.2???

    thanks in advance

you just need to restore with itunes and your iphone will be as good as new.

No idea what will be the new process to unlock.

The new unlock will most likely need a jailbroken and upgraded phone. So if you wanna get a head start, then yeah, jailbreak the phone.
    8GB Apple iPhone

    Firmware 1.1.3 w/ 4.6 Bootloader
    Fully unlocked.
