[1.1.2 OTB] Unlocked, but now all calls are dropping
No that my 112 OTB is finally unlocked and working, it is unusable as a phone.
Most of the time I dial a number, I get a 'call failed' error.
Calls which do connect ALWAYS drop, whether incoming or outgoing.
Signal strength is low (and fluctuates), but in the same location and SIM card with a Nokia phone, signal strength has been on maximum without a blip for 2 years and never a dropped call.
Any ideas?

You damaged your antenna?
Seems pretty trivial.

'Trivial'?

I think he means apparent, certainly not trivial.

Agreed. Trivial, as in common sense - not necessarily insignificant.

Well that seems like a pretty wild guess, which doesn't help much.
Of course I already thought of this and inspected the phone but can't see any damage anywhere. The aerial is not *that* delicate.

You removed the antenna cover and inspected both the orange plastic and the antenna itself? I assume that's what you meant. Such as here. It's not that delicate, but plenty of people have put holes in it.
Have you tried making a call when it's docked? I've read that this can improve reception. Of course, it looks like you believe reception isn't your problem. Or you could try an amplifier, but that's going to cost some (or a lot) of money.

yep
I just tried 4 calls in a row. Every time I dial, the screen goes black, I hear 3 beeps, and get no error message and no call.

Since you say it's not a hardware problem, perhaps you should try to restore, jailbreak, and unlock again.
