Can you update a UK 1.1.2 iPhone unlocked using the sim by-pass method (i.e. still locked to o2, but can be used with any o2 sim)?

Would upgrading the firmware (when it comes out) brick the phone or would it be ok? Because technically it's not a full unlock or anything, just a patched lockdownd file right?

That is the million dollar question (or Million Pound, Quid, you get the point).

There are several thousand of us with sim-bypass unlocks that are anxiously waiting to find out whether or not they will work when 1.1.3 comes out. Only time will tell.

As of right now, the consensus is 90% in our favor.
