Question [1.1.2 OTB UK] Bootloader 3.9? Serial No. lower than 45

    Hi,

I have two iPhones purchased from an O2 store in England last week. I checked the version of both and they are version 1.1.2.

Although what confuses me is that both of the phones begin with this serial number:

    7T744

Doesn't that mean that this has bootloader 3.9? Since it's below 45 on the 4th and 5th digit of the serial no.

Or am I a total idiot and misunderstanding everything?

Thats what it implies. For US phones anyway. Not sure for UK phones. I thought the 4.6 was shipped with all UK phones.

    It's the latter unfortunately.

All UK phones come with bl 4.06, no matter which week number. Anyway even some US phones with week 42 supposedly came with bl 4.06, so week number is only a rough guide.

I've read from several places that all European iPhones ship with the 4.6 bootloader.

After reading this thread I checked my week 42 o2 uk iphone using bbinfo. It was a 4.6bl as expected.

Check it yourself if you are jailbroken the simple way:

Add the source to your installer : http://www.trejan.com/irepo
    Install BBInfo under Utility category
App will appear on springboard and will detail all the info on your phone.
