[1.1.2 OTB] SW Unlock - Which method works best?
Alright so now that i have unlocked my already jailbroken and activated 1.1.2OTB by using Geohot's method via iClarified, what's the best method for me to upgrade to 1.1.3? What are some issues some of you guys faced when upgrading? Is it worth upgrading now, or wait till the SDK comes out this late Feb?
Any suggestions/advice?
I've read through forums and seems to me there are still alot of issues with upgrading. signal issues - locateme not working - and so on...
Unlocked using GeoHot's unlock solution via iClarified
BSD Subsystem 1.5 / installer 3.0 installed
Everything works perfectly.
and would like to unlock

Hi I just unlocked my OOTB 1.1.2 using i.unlock.no. Though you should remember that while unlocking after jailbreak, the process takes atleast 5 mins so be patient while it shows the processing icon..

I used the iClarified procedure through the installer on an already jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone, and everything went flawlessly. If you are starting from an OTB 1.1.2 or OTB 1.1.3 iPhone (not jailbroken), i.unlock.no is in my opinion the easier procedure to follow, as it explains in detail the steps to follow. It suggests to downgrade and jailbreak to FW 1.1.1, and apply the unlock from there (whereas the iClarified procedure starts from a jailbroken FW 1.1.2 or 1.1.3). The unlock from i.unlock.no also applies Oktoprep, so as to make the future upgrade to 1.1.2 easier.

I've got an OTB1.1.2 already jailbroken and activated using TurboSim. So do you think iClarified is my best solution for a SW unlock? What do i need to watch out for? I've got BSD1.5 installed on my iphone.

I would also suggest the iclarified solution. It is very simple. Remember to never have auto-lock on when doing this unlock. Just add installer.iClarified.com and install the package called GeoHot unlock. It is really simple to follow the tutorial: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=649
and remember to do this before the installation: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=651

So far, GeoHot has less problems. If you haven't jailbreak/activated your phone, Ziphone works best for you as the software does everythign for you.
