[1.1.2 OTB] Stuck on 'Waiting for iPhone' when DGing to 1.0.2
When trying the TP unlock, after running ienew over ssh the WiFi connection was lost (and I hadn't MobileTerminal installed then).
I tried to restore to 1.1.2, which completed with an error at the end and left the phone on recovery mode, after kicking it out of it it showed the 'Repair needed' message and got no phone/wifi functions.
After various downgrades/restores to and from 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, always with the same ending message, I still cannot downgrade to 1.0.2, I've tried a lot of hardware/software/OS combinations but always get stuck on the 'Waiting for iPhone' message which I can't get pass. This morning I left it for more than five hours with no success.
Just to clarify, I'm trying the 1.0.2 downgrade from both 1.1.2 and 1.1.1 on DFU mode, getting into it both manually using the 'buttons' method and iPHUC with the 1.0.2 WTF file.
Whatever possible solution given would be welcome. As I've already have my iPhone dissassembled I wouldn't be bothered on a hardware related solution. I've bricked some hardware on the past (ie. Linksys routers) and brought them back to life by bridging two CPU pins which were as small as the contact tracks on the iPhone.
Best regards.

Yes try the power + home button when you get itunes to pickup the phone in restore mode and the screen is black... restore it to 1.0.2 .. I use iDemocracy to jailbreak it works like a charm for 1.0.2... i hope that helps and good luck...

hrm... i believe you guys.. when you say its stuck on the that screen.. but the phone is not completly unresponsive... so there is still a change to resuce it.. I should suggest using itunes 7.4.3 i think.. don't have ibrickr running either... and just let it go on that screen.. heck go to bed and wake up and see what happens... i think the phone has just slowed down to a point where is not bareable .... it should go through ...
i know i use to do satelite stuff.. and i once screwed the bootloader on the STB box.. and oh man.. i jtag'd the reciever in slow programming mode and it took me 3 hours holding the jtag in its place.. so devices do slow down and go in to a slow programming mode which is beyond slow.. give it a night it should go through in my personal opinion.. if not .. upgrade to 1.1.3 and wait for 1.1.4 ... good luck..

Might have to replace out the com board buddy.. I am sure there will be a fix for this one way or another... but it may take time to come out... i would suggest just keep trying different things... though if your a windows user try using iDemocracy or have it open when itunes is running... just keep trying all different combinations.. somethings bound to work if the phone is still fixable...

Well, I'm 99% sure the solution is this one:
-Put the phone in DFU mode
-Restore to 1.0.2 using iTunes 7.4.2 (I'm not sure if 7.4 works too)
I haven't tested this yet, so a reply would be much appreciated
