[1.1.2. OTB][Solution] Brick & erased baseband > Jailbreak and Activate
Hi guys,
seems like there are loads of us out there with a nice brick - unknown imei, unknown iccid, no sound etc. It all happened while trying to manipulate the baseband.
Most of us had or still have hard time jailbreaking and activating the brick if iccid and imei are missing. Here is a short step-by-step description of jalbreak and acivation process for your 1.1.2. OTB brick:
0. Download all necessary software:
- 1.0.2. Restore file (http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw)
- iBrickr 0.91 (http://ibrickr.com/downloads/ibrickr_v0.91.zip)
- Activation Script (http://www.pisk.si/download/activation.zip)
1. Set your brick to Recovery Mode by rebooting while holding the Home-Button. Restore through iTunes to 1.0.2 using iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw file
The Restore will finish with an error - that's OK. Your brick will remain in Recovery Mode.
2. Opet iBrickr, select Boot my iPhone and follow instructions. Now you should be able to see the Activation Screen. Close iBrickr.
3. Open iTunes, it will give you an error about not able to activate withous SIM card, click it away and close iTunes.
4. Open iBricr again, now Free my iPhone button should be visible. Click on it, follow the instructions and wait until iBrickr executes loads of stuff on your brick.
The brick will end up in Recovery Mode again (no Activation Screen). Boot it again with iBrickr to get to Activation Screen. Close iBrickr. Your brick is jailbroken now.
5. Unpack acivation.zip, run (CLICK HERE) activate..bat ad follow instructions. After the reboot your brick will be activated and you will be able to see the springboard.
That should be it.
Let me know if it worked (I am quite sure it should).
Just one note: If something went wrong during activation (Step 5), only executing the .bat again will not work. Delete all unpacked files and unpack the whole zip file again. Then execute .bat again.
You should be where I am now. Next step in order to fix our baseband should be to get Mobile Terminal installed through iBrickr. Seems like it's not working for me. Can somebody give more info on installing an application trough iBrickr since I have never done it? I suppose the installed application should apper as an icon on the springboard, but it doesn't for me. Is there any other way to install the Mobile Terminal?
Thanks!
CHEERS!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE - Installation of Mobile Terminal succeeded
Let me continue with step 6 - Installation of Mobile terminal
6. Go to http://iphone.exploit.org/pxl, choose MobileTerminal vsvn206 and download the file. Rename it from MobileTerminal-svn206.zip to MobileTerminal-svn206.pxl. Open iBrickr, go to Applications and choose "Install from PXL file". Choose the downloaded MobileTerminal-svn206.pxl and let iBrickr do the rest. After the soft reboot you will find the Mobile Terminal icon on the springboard.
Now you can make another attempt in downgrading your baseband. Happy hacking!!!

Download the .pxl file of MobileTerminal and install it via iBrickr --> Install from .PXL file

OK, immediate error is a different story.
I have seen it before - just try again. If it doesn't work after several tries, restore to 1.1.1. and then again to 1.0.2. Now it should work. That's how I did it.

where I can download it and how I can install it from pxl?
http://iphone.exploit.org/pxl/index2.html
Start iBrickr
Select Applications
Select "Install from .PXL file"
