my problem is at step 4
i am not able to jailbreak it
i have tried everything i know
    1. free my phone on ibrickr but it keeps rebooting the iphone endlessly untill i manually close the JailBreak.exe from teh task manager and the iphone stays on the recovery mode after that but it is not jail brocken
    2. tryed jail breaking using iphuc but it never shows the message FTL_Open it just reboots and back to the activation screen without anything done so i can not execute the rest of the commands

    any thoughts
i have tried this 100 times but i never was able to jailbreak it
and offcource the activation does not work because the phoneis not jailbreaked

    any help here
Same, when i try to jailbreak with ibrickr i just get the endless iphone reboot untill i end jailbreak.exe. Ive tried many times.

I ran the command line instead of using IBrickR.
Same thing happens. Iphone keeps rebooting. But, now i have the proof.

This message suggests iTunes does not recognize your phone. My iTunes recognized the phone but the immediately gave an error about SIM card not being inserted (because of missing baseband iTunes couldn't recognize it).

I am using 7..4.3 version of iTunes.

The problem is i just cannot downgrade the baseband to 1.02 or 1.0.1 or 1.0.0 but i can restore iphone to the other firmware versions and there is no waiting for iphone message.

But the at the end of the restoration, it gives error 1011.

i hope there are some people who can help (

for 3 days i ve been rerestoring the iphone again and again....

    Good News:
ragtap and I just confirmed how to solve the no wifi, no iccid, no imei etc, after hw unlock.

    1-Downgrade to 1.0.2 with Ibrick
    2-Jailbreak and activate
3-Install vt100 and BSDsubsystem with the plx files
4-Upload to /usr/bin the 112otb files and the Nor 3.9 file with Ibrick
    5-Set permisions from vt100 to 777
    6-Run ienew from vt100
7-Prepare testpoint and Run iunew from vt100
    8-reboot
    9-restore to 1.1.1 ( will get error 1011)
10-restore to 1.1.2, now you would have wifi, iccid, etc, again

    Enjoy!!!

Ok, I got it jailbroken and activated.

    XP did the trick.

What's the command to set permissions to the whole /usr/bin folder?

EDIT: sorry, i should stop asking dumb questions... figured it out. I'll report if i succeed.

Why do i get. No such file or directory when i do "chmod -R 777 /usr/bin"
